IEEE-USA Board - Nov 2002 There seems to be a problem with the 2003 USA President in wanting to do things at a location, and not talking to the local Section There will be $11,980.08 for R2 PACE Funds in 2003 Congressional Visit Day will be Apr 2-3, 2003 Washington Section should nominate Connie Morella for IEEE-USA Award for Distinguished Public Service The IEEE-USA 2004 Pres-Elect candidates are Jean Eason & Gerry Alphonse The IEEE-USA 2004-2005 Member-at-Large candidates are Lee Stogner & Gary Johnson

RAB Board - Nov 2002 RAB Assembly elected me the 2003 RAB Vice Chair Member Activities RAB Assembly in a special session elected Joe Lillie RAB Treasurer RAB recommended responsibility assignments and decided to start taking action on SC ’02 Recommendations, prior to IEEE EXCOM officially approving these responsibility assignments Discussed a Proposed Region/Section Reserve Policy

RAB SPC MTG - Nov 2002 Discussed how to specifically include SC ’02 Recommendations in the RAB Strategic and Operational Plan

BOD Meeting - June 2002 A 2 Day Board Meeting BOD Meeting –Spend most of the meeting discussing the 2003 Budget and the Report of a Consultant on IEEE business operations and governance – Approved a Bylaw change making it easier for IT graduates from an accredited school to join the IEEE as Members

RAB SPC Retreat – Jan 2003 Modified RAB Strategic Goals for RAB Approval, including the addition of a Preface Developed a Proposed 2003-2004 SOP Discussed Consultants Report

Top Issues for R2 in 2003-2004 Strengthen existing Student Branches and establish new ones Develop a R2 Event that will at least break even, but bring in new full dues paying members Increase the number of meetings held by each Section/Chapter in the Region
