6 GAJE Workshop exercise (condensed simulation) The incident of abuse (the ‘trigger’): In your country, prisoners with intellectual disabilities are incarcerated with all prisoners. Guards and other prisoners subject prisoners with intellectual disabilities to physical abuse and sexual assault. Guards subject them to excessive discipline if they don’t understand regulations.
