Air quality and noise reduction in Paris 1 - Political commitment, strong demand from inhabitants NO 2 2 – common action on noise and pollutant emission 3 – a wide range of action toward circulation - Low emission Zone, ultra low emission road, transit ban in the city center - generalisation of 30km/h speed limit - reduction of road capacity - 100 millions € on bicycle lanes until 2020 - parking policy - urban logistics - electric and gaz mobility - car sharing

Some difficulties… 1 – governance difficulties : mayor decision inside blue line : 76 cities inside green line : 123 cities 2 – enforcement : - mayors don’t have capacity of control - automatic control is not allowed in France 3 – legislation - the energy transition for the green growth - august 2015 - identification of véhicles : project of stickers only for the cleanest one 69% of the national fleet

4. Our needs… 1 – euro norma : - homologation cycles in conformity with the use of vehicles - simultaneous evaluation of local pollutant and CO2 emission - strong regulation for scooters (noise and pollutant) - definition of urban vehicle? 2 – 2008/50/CE directive on ambient air quality : limit values based on background pollution, we also need to tackle very local exposition 3 – difficulties with control of cross boarder vehicle 4 – incentive for urban logistics, for fleet renewal
