2 Accountability, Integrity Respect The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office provides our community with the highest quality law enforcement and inmate services through a commitment to Accountability, Integrity and Respect.

3  More than just a sheriff’s office contract for police services, a commitment to the community.  All the resources of your own police department with service tailored to your needs.

4  Accreditation increases a law enforcement agency’s ability to prevent and control crime through more effective and efficient delivery of law enforcement services to the community it serves.  It also serves as a yardstick to measure the effectiveness of the agency’s programs and services.

5  On October 7, 2015, the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) awarded the FCSO with its third re-accreditation since receiving initial accreditation in February 2005.  The work, direction and vision to obtain the initial accreditation came from Sheriff James L. Manfre in his first term as Flagler County Sheriff.

6  The Neighborhood Services Division (NSD) is the largest division within the Sheriff’s Office. Sworn Deputies are assigned to such areas as patrol, special operations, court services and traffic enforcement.  The NSD is the “backbone” of the agency and is the most visible section at the Sheriff's Office.  The Sheriff's Office prides itself on providing our citizens with the highest quality law enforcement services.

8  Each platoon works 12-hour shifts and provides city- wide protection and community services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  Each shift is comprised and supervised by a Sergeant and two Corporals.  Each platoon is overseen by a Platoon Commander.  The Platoon Commander and supervisors work side by side with the deputies on a daily basis to provide the citizens with the highest level of law enforcement services.

9  Deputies respond to calls for service and proactively patrol the City of Palm Coast, to deter criminal activity. 102,237  In 2015, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 102,237 calls for service in the City of Palm Coast.  NSD deputies work hand in hand with Palm Coast Code Enforcement and Animal Control to address quality-of-life issues throughout the city.

13  Staffed by a Senior Commander, Sergeant, Records Clerk and volunteers. They handle all sheriff and city needs for service.  Headquarters for the Citizens Observer Program (COPs).  Location of the new Seniors vs. Crime Program, (a partnership with the Florida Attorney General’s Office).  Headquarters of the Traffic Unit.

20  The Goal of Seniors Vs. Crime is to reduce the victimization of senior citizens who are often targeted for specific crimes or scams based on their age.  In 2015, approximately $5,486 was recovered for Flagler County victims.

22 The FCSO Traffic/Motor Unit consists of a Sergeant and four Deputies, which employs the use of five BMW motorcycles and unmarked enforcement vehicles for the purpose of:  Traffic Enforcement  Escorts  Parades  Traffic Surveys and other community events held in the City of Palm Coast

26 The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Service Division has the ultimate responsibility for the investigation of all Homicides, Thefts, Robberies, Frauds, Burglaries, Aggravated Assaults, Rapes, and other such crimes that require extensive investigation within the city limits of Palm Coast.

27 Seniors vs. Crime  Our Victim Services Unit is available to any citizen of Flagler County and provides emotional support to the victims/witnesses and their families.  Victims of crimes and victims of tragedies need comfort during times of emotional stress.  Our victim advocates work as a support system to victims, survivors, and their families following traumatic events.
