1 SERVICE SCENARIO IN ASIA DEAFBLIND PROGRAMME IN MALAYSIA

2 Population in Malaysia. Visual impairment in Malaysia. Deafblind population. Home based programme Residential programme.

3 OUR OBJECTIVES To advocate for early intervention and provide a full range of educational services and training to enable them to achieve their optimum potential. To support and strengthen families and provide them with information and resources. To improve the standard of care by providing adequate training and supervision for teacher and caregivers. To ensure that the rights of these children ( survival,protection, development and participation) are recognized and incorporated in our work.

4 FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK Activities organised by FSN: Training programme for parents. Counseling session. Awareness campaign of deafblindness. Parents meeting and sharing of experiences. Participating actively in projects.

5 ON GOING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME Training CBR teachers.(government) University students. Road show. International students.

6 ROLE OF THE GOVERNMENT Educational for all
