Staff & Elected Representatives 45,000 members – Republic & Northern Ireland 1,000 elected representatives 800+ employers/sections 23 full time Industrial Staff – geographically located 5 Administrative support personnel

Collective Bargaining Ireland Social Partnership – National Wage Agreements since 1987. End of National Wage Agreements 2008 due to Economic Crises. Collective Bargaining System is not the Anglo Saxon Model. Public Sector – Croke Park Agreement. Private Sector – Wage Negotiation Protocol – Local bargaining. Private Sector – 55 wage Agreements concluded. Average increase – 2% per annum. Average length of Agreement 24 months. Agriculture Food & Drinks Sector – obtaining average private sector but more employers pleading inability to pay.
