3 2 What is MOTYFF? MOTYFF is part of a Flemish microsimulation project: FLEMOSI, 2010 – 2013 InGRID: experiences of Motyff to develop similar online-tools for other European countries FLEMOSI Models Research MEFISTO MOTYFF Discussion papers

MOTYFF: webtool for calculation of net disposable family incomes Based on information entered by user: family composition, socio-economic status, wages, benefits, child care, … Changes in net disposable income as a consequence of changes in the family (e.g.: head of the family becomes unemployed) or policy changes

5 4 What is MOTYFF? + retirement simulator (University of Liège) MOTYFF is based on Euromod Some Flemish policies were added to the model Based on policies of June 2012

Developed for policymakers and civil society User is lead through the input screens A lot of knowledge about social and fiscal legislation is not required Next to webtool: stand alone version for academics Not dependent on survey data: effects of policy changes can be detected faster + quicker anticipation on policies
