8. Living in America we take for granted the blessing of access to safe, clean water. Others around the world are not so fortunate. Many areas within Africa and Asia are riddled with human feces contaminated water, and limited access to fresh water. These poverty stricken areas are at great risk for Cholera outbreak. Cholera is a deadly infection involving the small intestine. The bacteria, Vibrio cholerae, only infects humans. The Cholera infection is spread through the consumption of contaminated water, either drinking and or food in contact with the water. The infection can cause significant diarrhea and nausea/vomiting, leading to death.

9. Access to clean, safe water should not only be a blessing to the fortunate……
