Color: Best Practices Color always must be appropriate for a brand, group, or organization as well as for the audience. Color is perceived depending on colors that surround it. Color can be used to create a focal point. Color can differentiate a graphic element from others in a composition. Using color is the easiest way to establish connections among graphic elements in a single composition or across multiple pages. Color can be thematic. Color can define a section of a website or publication.
