2 The requirements I need Harvard requires applicants to submit the results of either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with writing component. As candidates in the fall of 2008 (the Class of 2012), students may submit either the "old" SAT I or ACT taken before February 2005, or the new SAT or ACT (which must include the writing section). All applicants, however, must also submit the results of three SAT Subject Tests. The Admissions Committee continues to consider test results in light of students' educational opportunities.

3 Continued The Admissions Committee recognizes that schools vary by size, academic program, and grading policies, so we do not have rigid grade requirements. There is no single academic path they expect all students to follow, but the strongest applicants take the most rigorous secondary school curricula available to them. They do seek students who achieve at a high level, and most admitted students rank in the top 10-15% of their graduating classes.

5 How big is Harvard? The university plans to construct two 500,000 square foot (50,000 m²) research complexes in Allston, which would be home to several interdisciplinary programs, including the and an enlarged Engineering department. In addition, Harvard intends to relocate the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Harvard School of Public Health to Allston. The university also plans to construct several new undergraduate and graduate student housing centers in Allston, and it is considering large-scale museums and performing arts complexes as well.
