AACLL LEGISLATION ON BISHOPS AND OTHER ELDERS General Conference 2016 BISHOPS—Term Limits, Equality, Membership o Supported by vote of 29 to 7 (That’s over 4 to 1 in favor) o Debate centered around whether to choose election for 8 years with a possibility of one reelection or election for 12 years with no reelection. AACLL proposes 8 years and one reelection.
