It is the WGPD’s 20th Anniversary and our goal is: " to publish guidelines and other informational materials to be used by Supreme Audit Institutions to encourage the proper reporting and sound public debt management “

Generate a defined structure and timelines for presenting advance reports Guarantee continuity and progress of investigation themes Improve communication and interaction Detect needs in a fluent manner, instead of on a yearly basis at our meetings

Provide WGPD members an structure for presenting progress reports on investigation themes; Produce an annual timetable for presenting an advance report Assist WGPD members in the development of their investigations through the use of: Contacts WGPD website Any other tool at hand for reaching specific objectives or communicate information; Maintain a fluid and good communication

The proposed schedule for presenting Advance Reports is every four months. Advance Reports would not substitute the Progress Reports presented at the annual meetings These quarterly reports are meant to serve as indicators of the progress made They aim at detecting possible difficulties or challenges in a given investigative team This will facilitate assistance, from the WGPD Secretariat if necessary

Since June 2010, after the WGPD meeting in Mexico the secretariat@wgpd.org.mx sent:secretariat@wgpd.org.mx 15 general e-mails to all our 50 contacts with information on: web updates, new sections on the website, follow-up information and News Each ‘general e-mail’ reaches 50 recipients, times 15, equals 2,500 recipients We received overall 12 responses, two being reception acknowledgements

Some member SAIs have received over 7 communications requesting information on a given issue; the Secretariat didn’t receive their response We have two cases of members that have not responded a single e-mail or interacted with the WGPD in over two years

On the Contingent Debt survey, prior to Mexico 2010, Ukraine had only received: 40 responses out of 176 expected. 10 were from WGPD members. After the meeting and members agreeing to participate: 7 surveys were received Only 3 from WGPD members

On the matter of the investigation themes: The Secretariat issued 34 individual and collective communications requesting status updates. We received only 8 answers
