Green Paper for Post-school Education and Training DHET was formed in 2009, bringing together all post-school education and training institutions biggest challenge number of young people who face a bleak future post school system not meeting the needs of the economy and society as a whole target: University enrollments 1,5m by 2030 target: FET’s and other enrollments 4,0 m by 2030

Green Paper For Post-school Education and Training (continued) FET colleges: appropriate programmes (diversity) upgrading lecturer qualifications management and governance capacity appropriate IT for management and learning forge linkages with business Community Education and Training Centres (CETC) needs of out-of school youth and adults South African Institute for Vocational and Continuing Education and Training (SAIVCET) playing a supportive role to institutions (FETs and SETAs)
