7 Membrane is Depolarized Local region inside cell now has net positive charge and outside cell a net negative charge (This is opposite of when at rest!)

9 Repolarization Changes occur behind moving action potential to restore the resting membrane potential

11 Sodium-Potassium pump fully restores the resting membrane potential Uses ATP to restore the proper concentrations of Sodium and Potassium ions inside and outside the cell
