2 “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.” Heb.2:1

3 “For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,” Heb. 2:2

4 “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,” Heb. 2:3

5 “God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” Heb.2:4

6 Man’s philosophies destroy worth = Fatalism = Conflict with state = Predestined

7 Man is responsible for what he is and what he does  Adam and Eve – Gen. 3  One talent man – Matt. 25  Prodigal son – Luke 15

8 Heb. 2:8  God put all things in subjection  Plant and animal world  Machine’s can’t replace man

9 6. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen-Even the beasts of the field, 8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas.

10 Heb. 2:9  Jesus tasted death for all  Red – Black – White - Yellow If you and I were the only ones would He have died for us ?

11 Heb. 2:11  Jesus not ashamed to be called brethren  Part of the same family  Same spiritual blood

12 Heb. 2:15  Willing to deliver from bondage and fear of death  Man has fear of death

13 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” 1 Cor. 15:55 We are delivered from death itself. Brought to a place where there is no death.

15 Don’t neglect your soul You are responsible for the salvation of your soul We have freedom to choose.

16 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matt. 16:26
