PP vs. SP The present perfectThe simple past the time period has NOT finished: I have seen three movies this week. (This week has not finished yet.) time period HAS finished: I saw three movies last week. (Last week is finished.)

PP vs. SP The present perfectThe simple past the time is not specific: I have already seen that movie. (We don't know when.) used when the time is clear: I saw that movie on Thursday. (We know exactly when.)

PP vs. SP The present perfectThe simple past Action with results in the present: -I haven’t fed the dog (he is hungry now). Completed actions I didn’t feed the dog last week. ( But it probably ate thses days)
