Lower Mississippi Gulf Water Science Center (LMGWSC) LMGWSC formed October 1, 2014 Covers a five state area – Alabama – Arkansas – Louisiana – Mississippi – Tennessee Contains 10 offices – Montgomery – Tuscaloosa – Little Rock – Fayetteville – Ruston – Baton Rouge – Jackson – Memphis – Knoxville – Nashville Goals – Be more science driven – Increase scientific knowledge base – Degrade geographic boundaries Pearl River is a prime example – Better leverage financial resources – Reduce management layers
