Financial Work In a school in New York, Low and middles income student that attend school represent nearly 50% of their family’s annul income. It forces students to work longer hours to make ends meet. The relative decline of grant funding for student aid as against loans is notorious, but an increased dependence on earnings is important, too. Part of the increase, of course, reflects the increasing numbers of non-traditional students, who have always typically depended heavily on their own earnings. By Keanna Brumant
