Ominous (adj.) Threatening harm or evil. The black clouds looked ominous last night.

Commence (v.) To begin School commences in the morning at 9:25 A.M.

Tentatively (adv.) hesitantly; uncertainly Most people would approach a snake very tentatively.

Ominous Adjective (a word that describes) Ominously The tornado roared ominously through the small town destroying everything in its path.

Commence Verb – be begin; to start Commences The summer commences with the Memorial Day holiday at the end of May.

Tentatively Adverb – to act in a conservative way; with caution Tentative (adjective) The new student was tenative about starting the school day with a group of strangers.

And so the story begins… There was once a teen named Tallulah. Unfortunately, Tallulah was not a very popular girl. Other students found her bright purple Mohawk, black lipstick and pierced eyebrows coupled with her 5’10” height to be ominous. But Tallulah was only trying to show her creative personality. She really didn’t understand why people were so tentative to approach her. As you can imagine, Tallulah had very few friends and was very lonely. This year, however, she was eagerly awaiting school to commence since she would be going to Englishville High School. In her mind, it was a golden opportunity to start over.
