Hieronymus Bosch 1450-1516

Basic Information/Biography ► Born: estimated around 1450 in the town of Hertogenbosch, Brabant (modern-day Netherlands). ► Died: August 1516. ► His real name was Jerome van Aken. ► Painted mostly for nobility in Europe. ► He was an Orthodox Catholic, but his paintings were so strange that he was considered a heretic by the church.
