2. Imagine this… you leave your son in the car to go into the grocery store. Then a guy steals your car and your son is still in the back seat. So, your son has to figure out your password to call the police. Unfortunately, he could not get into the phone. If he had his own phone he could call the police and save the day.

3. I feel strongly about this subject for many reasons. The most important one is safety. The other reasons are: staying connected to your family, learning responsibility, and how to use technology.

4. SAFETY If your kid finds himself in a dangerous situation, he can call right away: the police, his parents or the fire department. If you need to find your child you can use a tracking device that is in their phone.

5. STAYING CONNECTED The cell phone allows you to: change your plans or remind your child of appointments Give words of encouragement Tell your child if you are going to be picking them up late Make them less homesick when they are away.

6. RESPONSIBILITY Cell phones will help children to be more responsible. They will learn how to: follow rules that their parents give them. Like how many hours they get to use their phone and where they can use it. Make sure text messages are nice to their friends. Never text while walking or crossing the street.

7. HELPS US LEARN Mobile phones help us to learn in a lot of different ways, like: How to use technology. Can buy education apps on the phone that can help them learn Can buy apps that can help tutor them in subjects that they are having trouble in.

8. HELPS US LEARN – CONTINUED You can also do your homework on your phone and then send it to your teacher. You can enter reminders on when and what to study

9. CONCLUSION !! All kids over the age of five should have a cell phone. They keep them safe, they stay connected to their families, it teaches them responsibility and helps them learn technology. What could be better!
