Organizing and Graphing Progress Monitoring Data

Organizing Progress Monitoring Data Progress monitoring data should provide the information needed to determine if any changes are happening because of an intervention It is often collected as baseline and intervention data It is helpful to design your spreadsheet using three columns: –The date or time the data was collected –A column for baseline data –A column for intervention data Placing the baseline and intervention data in separate columns will allow us to examine these data separately on the graph as well

This is how it might look in Excel: Here is when the intervention started:

Graphing Progress Monitoring Data: Highlight the date, baseline, and intervention data Insert a scatter with straight lines and markers graph

Here is what the graph will look like initially: Baseline and intervention data are separated into two data series on this graph. This graph can be edited to make data analysis more clear

One way to edit your graph is to use a prepared layout 2) Click on the design tab 3) Click on layout 1 and your graph will automatically be updated to that style of layout 1) If you select your graph by clicking on it, the chart tools will become available

Now, titles, labels, and trendlines can be added to make data analysis more clear Baseline and intervention data are separated with a phase change line Trendlines, a title and labeled axes have been added to the graph Tutorials for these steps are available on Google Drive now
