Lectionary Today is Feria of 32 nd Week in Ordinary Time –Feria is a non-festival day. –Ordinary Time’s colour is green –Collect is taken from the preceeding Sunday (Year A) –Readings from the Weekday Lectionary (Year I)

Liturgical Colours Green –Ordinary Time Red –Martyrs, Good Friday, Pentecost Purple –Advent, Lent White / Gold –Easter, Christmas, Saints, Our Lady, Eucharistic Devotions Black –Funerals and Requiems

Vestments Not just an excuse for the priest to ‘dress nice’ Indicates the separation of the person from the role Priest stands ‘in vicare Christo’ – in the place of Christ, as an ikon of the Lord –Hence the title “Father” or “Mother”
