University Catalogue Purposes of the Meeting 1. To update the course description of the General Education Subjects and Professional subjects of all programs. 2. To establish a common understanding on the course description of the general education subjects.

University Catalogue Process of restoring the University Catalogue: 1.All colleges/ departments are requested to submit soft copy of the latest curriculum and updated subject descriptions of their program. 2.The requested documents will be submitted to the College of Nursing for review and encoding.

University Catalogue Process: 3.Upon review and encoding, the documents will be endorsed to the office of the Registrar. 4.The Office of the Registrar will review and validate the submitted course description of the General Education Subjects and Professional Subjects.

University Catalogue Process: 5.Once review and validation are completed, the documents will be returned to the College of Nursing. 6. The Office of the VPAA will conduct meetings with the service department, the Deans and Chairpersons for the purpose of information and appropriate action to be done (review, validate, approve and endorse).

University Catalogue Process: 7.Once completed with the review, the documents will be endorsed to the proponent, the documents will be checked and endorsed to the Office of the Registrar. 8. The proponent will present to the VPAA and to the Registrar the content of the University Catalogue.

University Catalogue Process: 9. Once approved, the proponent will prepare the draft of the University Catalogue and submit to the VPAA and to the Registrar copy of the draft for review, approval and endorsement to the Office of the President. 10.Target date of completion : March 31, 2014

Findings: 1.Some colleges/departments with course offerings did not submit course description for their general education subjects. 2. Some colleges/departments with course offering submitted incomplete list of general education subjects and course description.

Findings: 3.No course code 4.Some short cut the description of the subjects. 5. General Education Subjects description is based on CHED-CMO and/or institutional description.

Findings: 6. No proper endorsement to the concerned offices on the updated CMO for Gen. Ed Subjects and professional subjects. 7. Using the same course code but different course description.

Updates March 6, 2014 conducted meeting with the Service Department for the purpose of review, validate, approve and endorse the standard general education subjects for all programs. Deadline of Submission: March 14, 2014

Suggestions: 1.The College/Department will review the course description and professional subjects of the course offering/s. 2.The College/Department with course offerings will endorse to the service department the minimum requirements of CHED-CMO regarding the general education subjects.

Suggestions: 3. The service department will inform the college/department on the standard course description (if that particular description covers the prescribed description of CMO) then the college/department with course offerings will follow the institutional course description of general education subjects.

4.The college/department with course offerings will endorse to the office of the Registrar the updated course description of the General Education Subjects and Professional Subjects.
