You can create a compound sentence by linking two sentences with a comma and conjunction., GRAMMAR HINT: You don’t need a comma before every conjunction in a compound sentence! 1

Compound sentence: two or more simple sentences put together with a coordinating conjunction. Coordinating conjunction: Words that connect. 1.The most common coordinating conjunctions are and, but, or. 2.Other conjunctions that are used between two sentences are for, so, yet. 2
