8. My ideal trainer is one who... Understands what it is like to be a trainee. They can get the balance of supporting, challenging and teaching. It is a person who I would remain in contact with for advice Takes effort to know me on a personal level and have built up a good rapport with me hereby making them approachable and an excellent role model

9. My ideal trainer is one who... Inspires me to achieve and learn more. If they are enthusiastic about their job and being a good GP, then that will translate into my own ambition Helps me navigate through the intricacies of GP training and teaches me what only experience in GP practice can give - how to focus on what matters and what to do with it

10. My ideal trainer is one who.... Is approachable, encouraging and keen to complete assessments I feel is invested in my learning experience and supportive Is approachable and supportive, with whom I have effective tutorials which increase my knowledge Is non-judgmental, responds to my learning needs and style, approachable Is supportive and approachable, helps take active role in guiding through programme

11. My ideal trainer is one who... Is approachable and supportive and encouraging! I feel comfortable asking for help and who seems happy to help Easy to talk to and approachable Cares

Is supportive but pushes and stretches my abilities Is approachable and does not think any question is stupid, but who also pushes me to think for myself and learn independently Is readily available for advice and help when I need it. Who is capable of giving honest feedback whilst recognising my insecurities and gaps in my ability Gives honest feedback (positive & negative/constructive)
