6 Foundation Phase & National Curriculum Cyfnod Sylfaen wedi disodli Cyfnod Allweddol 1 yn llawn yn 2012; 2013 fydd y blwyddyn cyntaf lle mae cymhariaethau blwyddyn ar flwyddyn ar gael; Datganiad Ystadegol ar gyflawniad ynny Cyfnod Sylfaen a Chyfnodau Allweddol 2 a 3 wedi’iu gyhoeddi ym mis Awst; Data wedi’i feincnodi i ddarparu i ysgolion cymhariaeth o’u perfformiad wrth ochr ysgolion eraill gyda lefelau tebyg o brydau am ddim. Cyfnod Sylfaen a Cwricwlwm Cenedlaethol Foundation Phase fully replaced Key Stage 1 in 2012; 2013 will represent the first year where year-on-year comparisons are available; Statistical release on achievement at Foundation Phase and Key Stages 2 and 3 published in August; Data also benchmarked to provide schools with a comparison of their performance relative to other schools with similar levels of Free School Meals.

8 Matched Data Data from KS1-3 and Foundation Phase as well as exam results at KS4 are matched to January PLASC data; Enables us to produce analyses on achievement by characteristics such as FSM, SEN, ethnicity, EAL, absence, month of birth; Two statistical bulletins released in March – ‘Academic Achievement by Entitlement to FSM’ and ‘Academic Achievement by Pupil Characteristics’. 10 National Tests 2013: Reading tests collected as part of NDC through DEWi; Procedural numeracy tests collected by NFER; Stand-alone statistical release scheduled for August. 2014: Reasoning numeracy tests introduced; Both numeracy components to be incorporated into NDC. 15 Data Sources Pupil numbers from PLASC. Fischer Family Trust (FFT) collect exam results information from awarding bodies. The data is matched to PLASC to produce results for each school. The data is checked twice by schools when the SSSP spreadsheets are sent to them. Data matching enables us to produce analysis by pupil characteristics. FFT also produce contextual value added data. 17 Examples of analysis available Matched exam performance data Prediction of a schools performance based on FSM entitlement. Benchmarking tables Value added scores from FFT based on contextual information. Matched attendance data – This year we published attendance by pupil characteristics for the first time. Persistent absentees – pupils who are absent for 20% or more of half day sessions.
