Attendance- prompt, daily attendance is crucial to success Lab counts as a separate class Materials- binder, pens, pencils Absences- see me the day returning to school to show HW that was due pick up work that was missed find out due dates for missed work etc.

Due at beginning of class –Late HW generally not accepted Exceptions… –excused absence »due upon return –extended time modifications »must show progress on due date & then have until next day

Labs Submit on-time for full credit -20% per day late (-10% per day for extended time w/ progress shown) All safety rules must be followed. –Closed-toe shoes required. Keep a pair in locker or in class just in case…

Grades are earned not given –total points method (pts earned/possible pts)

Academic Integrity Honesty is expected in my classroom Cheating, copying, plagiarizing will not be tolerated & are serious offenses. –Occasional group lab reports or projects will be assigned, otherwise all work should be done independently. When in doubt, ask!

Extra Help: available by appointment –Encourage your child to ask for help a. s. a. p. –Tutoring should be a final step.
