THE CARDIOVASCULAR THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM By : Stephanie Spoonamore
2
ORGANS AND FUNCTIONS The heart - pumps the blood in the system The vein – carries the blood to the heart The arteries – blood vessel that carries blood away from the heart Capillaries – Thin and fragile that are only 1 cell thick
3
Systems that the Cardiovascular System work with The Digestive System The respiratory system
4
How it works with those systems The cardiovascular system works with the respiratory system by the carrying blood to the heart that needs oxygen. From there the lungs bring oxygen to the blood causing the arteries to carry the blood away from the heart. The cardiovascular system works with the digestive system by picking up nutrients and carrying them all around the blood stream.
5
What the cardiovascular system does The cardiovascular system pumps blood through out the body. It has white blood cells that help fight viruses and scab up on scratches or cuts or anything that has opened the skin. It transports food, oxygen, and waste. The heart is the strongest muscle because it is always moving.
