Nestle want consumers to associate KitKats with break time. Their advertising slogan says ‘have a break, have a KitKat’. They have linked KitKats with breaks to suggest that they go together. Therefore, when people have a break, they will associate the break with having a KitKat and sales of KitKats will hopefully increase.
