INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE The person I chose that I find inspirational, worthy and admiring is Steve jobs. Jake Dixon 17/08/2015

WHO IS STEVE JOBS Steve Jobs (Born February 24, 1955 – Died October 5, 2011) was an American pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s. Shortly after his death, Jobs' official biographer, who is Walter Isaacson described him as the "creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and revolutionized six industries: That are personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

APPLE IN 1996 It was one year later that Steve’s return to Apple was set into motion. In November 1996, the company was looking for a new operating system for its future Macs. The Mac OS was bloated with old technologies, slow, and unadapted to modern computers. Apple had been working for some time on an internal project called Copland, yet it was constantly being delayed and it soon became obvious it would not fit the bill. So CEO Gil Amelio started shopping around for a modern OS to buy, and after a while, a consensus started to emerge on Jean-Louis Gassée’s BeOS. Gassée was the former Apple France executive who was supposed to replace Steve Jobs as the head of the Macintosh division in 1985. He had since left Apple and started his own company, Be Inc., whose software had everything Apple needed, including the good taste of running natively on Apple’s products. However some NeXT employees called up Apple and told them about their own system, the very advanced NeXTSTEP, that had always been regarded as one of the best software platforms on the planet. Steve Jobs learned about it later and he was stunned. But in December 1996, he showed up at Apple for the first time in eleven years and not only convinced the board of using his technology, but also to buy his company. Apple agreed to pay more than $400 million for NeXT, whereas Be was only asking for $200 million.

WHY DID I CHOSE STEVE JOBS The main reason why I chose Steve jobs is because when I used to be younger till now iv always admired apple products and his presentations of new products such as the first generation iPhone in 2007. Here is a link to the introduction of the first iPhone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7qPAY9JqE4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7qPAY9JqE4

WHY IS STEVE JOBS INSPIRATIONAL Steve jobs has inspirational quotes on what he said before he died. And I will quote one he said that inspires me. "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.“ Steve jobs

WHAT DID STEVE JOBS INVENT the Macintosh that was announced in 1984. it was the first consumer computer with a graphical user interface. In other words, it had an operating system with windows and icons, and a mouse to move between them.

TYPOGRAPHY ON SCREEN One of the major innovations of the original Macintosh was that it showed on the screen the font chosen for the text. Until then, what was drawn on computer screens was just like on a typewriter.

THE IPOD The iPod is a line of portable media players and multi-purpose pocket computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The first line was released on October 23, 2001, The iPod line came from Apple's "digital hub" category, when the company began creating software for the growing market of personal digital devices. Digital cameras, camcorders and organizers had well-established mainstream markets, but the company found existing digital music players "big and clunky or small and useless" with user interfaces that were "unbelievably awful.

THE APPLE IPHONE The iPhone is a smartphone that was designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is the first generation of iPhone and was announced on January 9, 2007 after years of rumors and speculation.

CONCLUSION Overall Steve Jobs has and is still touching the lives of people all around the world today. His story and quotes are amazing to read because despite all of the hardships he faced, he did what he said he was going to do: become a millionaire. By: Jake Dixon
