2. © 2012, Toshiba India Private Limited What is Toshiba Eco Utility Toshiba's power-saving Eco Utility™ lets you reduce your impact on the environment by monitoring your power usage. You can see increases and decreases in power consumption in real time, and then reduce your usage if you don’t need the full power of your notebook. With a single click you can switch to a pre-configured power plan that will reduce power consumption and show your actual savings. You can even see how much CO2 you’ve saved. As result which leads to Higher battery Life and long backup hours.

The charge level of battery could be checked by moving the mouse pointer to the bottom right hand corner of the screen over the battery icon. Doing this, will display the status of Battery Life. 9. © 2012, Toshiba India Private Limited The other added feature in Toshiba Eco Utility software is “Peak shift”. It allows user to reduce the power consumption “from mains” during peak hours. Toshiba laptop smartly shifts to battery power (even if connected to mains) during the chosen time duration which will leads to reduced load on mains and hence helps cut down Electricity Bill for the user. Users can specify the time duration conveniently by going to the “Peak Shift” section in the Eco Utility Window. Peak Shift
