2 TAJ MAHAL I was adopted from India when I was 19 months old and I have not been back since I was adopted. I have always been proud of my heritage and I find the country I was born in very fascinating. The picture on the left is the famous Taj Mahal at Agra, India. The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum on the Yamuna River. This is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal.

3 TAJ MAHAL MAP IMAGE The map image on the right shows where the Taj Mahal is located in Agra, India. The red circle marks the spot of the famous Taj Mahal and it is very close to the biggest city in India which is New Delhi.

4 HUMAYUN’S TOMB The second scenic image consists of Humayun’s Tomb which is located in New Delhi, India. The tomb was designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas. Mirak Ghiyas was a Persian architect chosen by Bega Begum.

5 HUMAYUN’S TOMB MAP IMAGE The second map image on the right shows the location of Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi, India. New Delhi is the biggest city in India and the tomb is located on the right side of the map. The tomb is along the Yamuna River in the map shown.

6 AKSHARDHAM DELHI Akshardham Delhi is a spiritual- cultural campus in New Delhi, India. The Akshardham is the biggest Hindu temple in India. This temple attracts almost 70 percent of tourists who visit Delhi each year. This temple was officially opened on November 6, 2005.

7 AKSHARDHAM DELHI MAP IMAGE The map image on the right shows the location of the Hindu temple Akshardham in India. The star represents the spot of the temple on the map. The temple is close to a national highway and a railway.

8 INDIA’S RICH HISTORY I want to visit these different historical places in India, because I have interest in the history of my country. I hope to go once I am out of college to the country that is closest to my heart. India is not only a beautiful country, but it has many historical place sin which I would love to see one day.

9 CONCLUSION The country of India has many beautiful historical places in which I would love to see one day. Since, I was born in India and have not been back, I would love to visit in the near future. India is a country that is growing and to me is considered beautiful. I’m very proud of where I was born, and I am living a very blessed lifestyle.
