What is the Mesozoic Era The Mesozoic era is the middle animals which consists of three different periods -Triassic(245-208 million years) -Jurassic(208-146 million years) -Cretaceous(146-65 million years) The Mesozoic is mostly known as the dinosaur age The climate during the Mesozoic Era was so warm that ice caps could not form.

Breakup of Pangaea The Mesozoic era was made up of a super-continent which was called Pangaea and it consisted of all the continents once being together
6
-The Mesozoic Era was a time of tectonic, climatic and evolutionary activity. -The continents gradually shifted from a state of connectedness into their present configuration. The drifting provided for speciation and other important evolutionary developments. -By the end of the era, the basis of modern life was in place. -As new plants moved inland, animals soon followed. The dinosaurs evolved, flourished in every habitat on land. Important developments
7
Marine reptile evolved first, then flying reptiles, and soon after, Dinosaurs.

K-T MASS EXTINTION!!! -Why did the dinosaurs go extinct? No one really knows for sure but, scientist have come up with a number of theories to explain why dinosaurs suddenly died out about 65 million years ago. - This extinction event is known as the Cretaceous-Tertiary Mass Extinction or the K-T Extinction - Besides dinosaurs, roughly 2/3 of all the plant and animal species on Earth disappeared. -A layer of iridium was found blanketing the Earth was evidence of a meteor.
