2. In this unit, the students will learn about ecology and ecological system, its components, and the flow of matter and energy. Students will be involved in cooperative learning activities like brainstorming, think-pair-share, and role playing.

3. Assessment tools such as essay, peer feedback forms, rubric, and written quiz will also be used in this unit. The students are expected to create outputs based on the activities they have engaged with. Thus, they will develop teamwork and collaboration.

4.  Art activity - you will create a drawing of an ecosystem. This will be done by group.  Role playing - In groups, you will present a role play about the functions of the components of the ecological system.  Diorama - you will create a diorama showing the interconnection of the different ecosystems. 6.  Day 1 - you will be asked to form 5 groups. Your teacher will ask you to bring art materials which will be used on the following day.  Day 2 - you will be creating a drawing of an ecosystem. INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES

7.  Day 3 - you will continue your drawing. Your group will then present it to the class. After this, your teacher will discuss about the components of the ecological system.  Day 4 - your teacher will continue yesterday’s discussion. You will then do the think-pair-share activity. After this, you will be asked to create an essay.

8.  Day 5 - discussion about the functions of each component of the ecological system. Oral activity afterwards. Then you will be asked to form 3 groups in which you will be presenting a role play about the topic discussed.  Day 6 - you will present your role play.

9.  Day 7 - you will watch a video presentation about the flow of matter and energy. Short written quiz afterwards.  Day 8 - you will be grouped into 5. Your teacher will ask you to create a diorama showing the interconnection of the different ecosystems.
