7-8 November 2006 Belgrade, Serbia Extension of the EEA European Topic Centre’s Work Program to the West Balkan Countries in the field of water 3 SELECTION OF LAKE STATIONS Main rules: At least 1 station per 1750 km 2 The selected stations should be geographically spread across the country, and be representative for the country. Small, medium, large and small 0.1-1 km2 surface area very large lakes should be medium 1-10 km2 surface area included. large 10-100 km2 surface area very large >100 km2 surface area Both reference, representative and impact stations should be selected.

More than 75% of sites identified and described, OR 2. Delivery of hazardous substances data, OR 1. Timely data delivery to national repository, and 2. Data delivered in the requested format, OR long time series (more than 10 years) for phosphorus, nitrogen and oxygen available. Delayed data delivery under Eionet-Water data collection (i.e. after the delivery deadline). OR Timely delivery, but delivered data are not fulfilling basic quality criteria. No data delivery under Eionet-Water data collection.
