You want to have a broad and balanced curriculum that plays to your strengths and interests, and meets your needs in the short, medium and long term. It is important to strike a balance between subjects you like subjects you are good at and subjects you need.

Make informed choices Talk to staff, peers and parents Use your Year 9 Report and Parents’ Evening You should not choose a subject because you expect a particular member of staff to be teaching it. You should not choose a subject because your friend is doing it. He may change his mind.
