3 Global Leadership Global Leadership is the ability to become adept at operating in international and multicultural contexts. Global leaders become who they are by cultivating a unique way of viewing the world, being able to look at problems and issues in depth, and act upon them with integrity.

7 Global Leadership in an Educational Perspective There are two major trends in the world that pose a fundamental challenge--and many opportunities-- to our educational system: – One is the world is shifting from an industrial economy to a knowledge economy. – The other is the rising generation-- brought up on the Internet--is very differently motivated to learn. 8 Global Leadership in an Educational Perspective 90% of 462 global respondents to a survey believe leadership development should start before age 18, with 50% choosing elementary school. (Pace, 2012).
