Login Your University ID contains 9 digits and begins with an 8 Your CougarNet PIN contains 6-digits. It was probably your birthdate (MMDDYY) the first time you logged in, but you would have changed it after your first log- in.

Alternate/Enrollment PIN Enter your 6-digit Alternate or Enrollment PIN This number should have been given to you by your advisor If you didn’t get the number or lost it, contact your advisor If you are an unclassified graduate or visiting student you probably won’t be prompted to enter this number

CRNs CRN stands for Course Reference Number. Each of our classes has a unique 5-digit CRN If you already noted these numbers during registration planning, you may enter them directly and click Submit Changes If you need to search for the CRNs and/or classes, use the Class Search button

Searching for a Class

When searching for a section of a class, you may use any of the search criteria noted You might want to keep your search simple at first and then narrow your criteria after you see what’s available After you’ve selected your search criteria, click the Class Search button

Select the sections you want to add by clicking in the checkbox

A “C” in the checkbox area means the class is closed or unavailable It’s best to add all of your desired classes to the worksheet before attempting to register in case the classes have co-requisite or link requirements

When you have your CRNs filled in, select the Submit Changes button

Resolve Errors Attempt to resolve your errors by searching for a new class or adding the required co-requisite You can obtain information regarding class pre-requisites and restrictions by clicking on the title of the class while you are in the Class Schedule or Class Search area Refer to the Office of the Registrar website at www.siue.edu/registrar for more troubleshooting information www.siue.edu/registrar
