4. PRESENT CONTINUOUS The present continuous is used to describe plans and arrangements which are definite. Such arrangements may be written in a diary.  I’m flying to London tomorrow morning. The present continuous is used to describe fixed arrangements, and to ask about social arrangements.  Are you doing anything this evening?

5. How does it work?  It all depends on the level of certainty. 1. Sudden decision: We’ll go to the Canary Islands! 2. Plan or intention: I’m going to (go to ) the US next summer. 3. Fixed arrangement: I´m leaving tomorrow.
