1
At the Amusement Park
2
Amusement parks are fun!
3
There are many rides there,
4
like a ferris wheel,
5
a roller coaster,
6
tilt-a-whirl,
7
merry-go-round,
8
house of mirrors,
9
and many more rides and games!
10
But if you are too little, you can’t ride on the big-kid rides. Sorry!
11
But that’s OK. Little kids like you have fun little-kid rides, too!
12
Maybe even a little ferris wheel!
13
In most amusement parks, you buy tickets to ride the rides.
14
A ticket taker stands and takes your ticket. Then you can get on.
15
You can also get food at amusement parks.
16
Some people eat while standing in line for a ride,
17
while other people sit down to eat. (That is more civilized.)
18
Some amusement parks are huge. They are as big as a small town!
19
Some famous big amusement parks are Cedar Point,
21
in Sandusky, Ohio;
22
Disney World,
24
in Orlando, Florida;
25
Disneyland,
27
in Anaheim, California; (it’s right next to Los Angeles)
28
King’s Island,
30
in Mason, Ohio, (near Cincinnati)
31
and Busch Gardens,
32
in Williamsburg, Virginia.
33
Lots of kids (and adults too!) love to go to amusement parks,
34
but remember—reading a book can be fun too!
