2. Country Meeting Times 12:44-1:25-7 th Period Students should return to their country groups from the morning~

3. Please sit in your groups (rearrange desks if needed) and pick up your country folder

5. Make sure you have the following:  Your Passport  Your International Towne Workbook  Pen or Pencil

6. Overview Country groups present facts and statistics about their country and relevant Towne information for their country during a whole-group meeting. Students will also use some of this information during the Opening Ceremony at International Towne. Students meet with their country delegation during country meetings to: – Learn position responsibilities – Complete Country Presentation Outline; – Determine country slogans and logos – Create advertisements – Complete country forms – Discuss country goals

7. Learning Target I will be able to participate in whole group discussion through country meetings. Success Criteria: – Work cooperatively as a country delegation – Carry out individual responsibilities – Find countries on a world map – Recite country facts and statistics – Describe International Towne countries

Activity Presidents/leaders will follow the Country Meeting Agenda found in each Country Folder and run your countries meetings Remember, you must complete the following forms before you arrive at International Towne: – Country Presentation Outline – International Television Advertising Form – International Radio Advertising Form – International Newspaper Advertising Form

9. Task  Generate ideas for the following:  International Television Advertising Form  International Radio Advertising Form  International Newspaper Advertising Form Final Draft Forms for all advertisements must be completed today! Remember this need to be high quality… the will be used at International Towne!

10. HOMEWORK  Any unfinished Advertisements must be completed for homework  The President must delegate who will finish what  All remaining papers must be returned to the folder and handed direct to the teacher at the end of the period!!!

11. Summary, if time permits  What did you find interesting? Were you surprised by any of the information presented? What kinds of comparisons can be made?  Presidents please collect the completed forms and put them into Country Folder pockets.  Return the Country Folders to the teacher.
