5 Intro to Arguments Open your lit. book to p. 884: Argument & Persuasion Review parts of an argument and view various elements in context of different types of media.

6 I Do Trace argument in example: lit. book p. 888 What is the author’s claim? In lines 1-6 the author claims that negative opinions of pit bulls are false, and that these dogs makes loving pets.

11 Work Period With your table group: read “What Video Games Can Teach Us” and annotate by using color-coded post-it notes and making notes on the post-its: – Claim = blue – Support (general reasons) = yellow – Evidence (specific facts, statistics, etc.) = green If you finish early work on, Achieve 3000: “Checking the Facts” (before reading poll + article [there’s 2!] + activity [both parts!])
