Candidates must reach a threshold of 20% to win a delegate. What to Watch For Donald Trump and Ted Cruz will battle for the conservative vote in the northern part of the state, while Marco Rubio will need to post strong margins in the areas surrounding Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile to be competitive. What to Watch For Cruz will need to run well in the northeastern part of the state to stand a chance. Oklahoma Republican Presidential Primary Timing Polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. EST. Delegates Democrats have 38 pledged delegates and 4 superdelegates. What to Watch For This could be one of the closer Democratic races in the South, however about half of the state’s voters younger than 34 are Republicans which could be a potential problem for Sanders. All must close at 8p ET/7p CT. Delegates Republicans have 58 delegates allocated proportionally at the statewide and congressional district level. Candidates must reach a threshold of 20% to win a delegate. What to Watch For Tennessee has the highest percentage of evangelical voters of any Super Tuesday state. Rubio will need to run well in the Nashville area to keep close to Trump and Cruz. Delegates Democrats have 67 pledged delegates and 9 superdelegates. What to Watch For Black voters made up a sizable share of the 2008 Democratic primary vote so Clinton is on track for a repeat victory. Candidates must reach a threshold of 20% to win a delegate. What to Watch For Cruz enters his home state’s primary as a slight favorite. He needs to run up his margins in the Houston area to stay ahead. Texas Republican Presidential Primary Timing Most are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST but those in the Mountain Time Zone won’t close until 9 p.m. EST Delegates Democrats have 222 pledged delegates and 30 superdelegates.
