Focus Question: Should naturalization be based upon an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship? Grab a computer from the cart Type USCIS- Naturalization Self Test into Google Answer 20 questions total and record: How many questions you got correct & how many incorrect What questions you got incorrect We will chart on the board which questions as a class we got incorrect and then discuss whether this knowledge is paramount for becoming a US citizen. Exit Ticket Based upon today’s mini-lesson and activity, do you believe that America’s naturalization process is too lenient, too rigorous or appropriate in its difficulty? Discussion Should America have limitations and requirements for naturalization or should the country be completely open to immigration? Parking Lot Develop one critical thinking question from today’s mini-lesson or activity. Write onto post-it and place onto parking lot. You will address these questions as a class during the initial-activity each following day. SUMMARY
