2. Bellringer #3 Last class we talked about factors that influence climate, but not the actual climate categories.  What climate zone do you think we live in?  How do you think this climate affects living things?

3. Today’s Objectives Students will be able to…  Identify a region’s climate type.  Describe the temperature and precipitation characteristics of a climate zone.  Distinguish between the climates of a coastal location and a location in the center of a large continent.

5. Do you think it’s a coincidence that the leading cities of the world all have a temperate climate, as opposed to a polar or a tropical climate? Explain.

6. What is the climate type of the region you live in? What are the temperature and precipitation characteristics of this climate zone? How would the climate be different if we lived in the center of a large continent?
