As a politician, it’s my duty to propose legislation and vote upon environmental proposals such as carbon cutting. I must also convince my colleagues to vote for or against carbon caps or cutting. My field is the first step to cutting down on carbon.
3
I would propose legislation that would set a specific amount of time that hearting & air conditioning that can be used. By doing this, it would lower the amount of CO2 emissions and lower the amount of electricity that is consumed.
4
I would propose legislation that would increase the amount of tax that businesses pay for carbon taxes. With this tax increase, businesses would be forced to pay more for the amount of oil, coal, and other carbon fuels they produce.
5
Encourage people that if they don’t use a certain amount of electricity for a certain amount of time, they would get tax cuts. This would encourage people to get outside and open windows, while cutting electricity usage.
6
Form a group of pro-carbon cap supporters to campaign around the state to convince people to help the environment, offer discounts/coupons for pro-environment products, and help rally more support. This should help convince people that environmental products are cheaper and better then the products they use.
7
Encourage more environmental companies to create businesses in New York and offer tax incentives if they create a company and high a high ratio of New Yorkers to work. This would help increase New York domestic products, increase economy, lower jobless rate, and supply pro-environment products to our market places.
