State Fire Marshal Regulations Chapter 482-2-102 Safety Standards for all School Buildings All buildings must have approved fire exits from every floor Flammable materials and hazardous materials must be stored in fire retardant cabinets/rooms or in outside storage buildings/areas Severe weather drills held seasonally - Twice yearly September - November and January - March Fire escape diagrams and safe-place diagrams for severe weather must be posted in all rooms that house students

State Fire Marshal Regulations Chapter 482-2-102 Safety standards for all school buildings Fire extinguishers must be provided and mounted in every building as required by code adopted by State Fire Marshal Office and must have a current tag showing the last date of inspection and maintenance, and kept in proper working order Regular inspections for fire hazards must be conducted by school officials and dangers removed Panic hardware on exit doors must be in proper working order Code of Alabama 27-2-17 & 36-19-9
