1831 Ezra Booth joins the church; disaffected & leaves; writes 8 letters published by anti-Mormon papers in Ohio; used Howe’s Mormonism Unvailed (sic) of 1834 March 1833 Building committee authorizes purchase of lands to build temple March 1833 Levi Hancock writes in his journal that the Saints in Kirtland have no place to worship April 1833 The building committee of Kirtland meet in the school to raise funds to build a “school for the elders” (an MTC) May 1833 Section 94 revealed June 1833 Saints scolded and rebuked for not building as directed by Section 88 TIMELINE 10
