MERCANTILISM 101 Definition this is the result of people being FED UP with Feudalism. A country colonizes a distant foreign land and uses its resources to manufacture goods and sell them throughout Europe and through trade but the profits only go to the country…the colonies also HAVE TO purchase the manufactured goods because they don’t have factories to do this in the new colonies. *These are the same colonies that caused the genocide of the Native Americans, Aztecs, Incas, and Africans.
